Mark C. Dooley, M.D.
Dr. Dooley specializes in gastroenterology.
Dr. Dooley cares for patients suffering from gastrointestinal and liver diseases and conditions. He is an advocate for colon cancer prevention and encourages his patients to receive the appropriate screenings. He is highly skilled in performing many endoscopic procedures including Colonoscopy and polyp removal, Upper Endoscopy and ERCP. Dr. Dooley believes it is important to keep up with the many changes in health care. He participates in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and also National Quality Care measures.
Dr. Dooley is a graduate of the University of Vermont. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha, an honor society for medical students in the top 10% of their class. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center. He was then selected for a competitive fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Dooley is a member of many organizations including the American Gastroenterological Association, the Medical Society of Virginia, the Richmond Academy of Medicine, the Virginia Gastroenterological Society, and the American College of Physicians.
